FAQ
1. Does the ice cream contain nuts?
Some of our products contain nuts (per May 2018; hazelnuts, pistachio, peanuts, pecan and almonds). Since the nuts can be found in our production units we can not guarantee that the products do not contain traces of nuts. Purchased products may also contain traces of nuts. This may include all types of nuts.
Do you have allergies? Below every product you will find an overview of which allergens it contains.
2. Do you have ice cream without added sugar?
Yes, our ice cream ZERoh! ice pop is completely without sugar and calories. You can get it as a single popsicle and in a multipack. Our Sørlandsis Vanilje Laktosefri contains 30 % less sugar.
3. Which ice cream can I eat as lactose intolerant?
Sørlandsis Vanilla Laktosefri is a rich and tasty lactose free ice cream. All the lactose milk raw materials in this ice cream are digested by the enzyme lactase, thus becoming lactose free. We have added lactase during the production process and the result is that the lactose is converted to glucose and galactose, which is tolerated by the lactose intolerant.
Krone-is Vegan is milk free and gluten free made from rice milk and coconut oil. It is available in chocolate flavor at the ice cream counter and strawberry jam in multipack.
Dugg Vegansk kokos-is is a milk free dessert ice cream, made with naturally fresh coconut milk and our milk free, homemade chocolate saus.
4. Is Sørlandsis Vanilje Laktosefri really lactose-free? It says in the ingredient list that it contains milk ingredients such as whipped cream, skimmed milk, skimmed milk powder and whey protein powder.
Yes, it is lactose free because all the raw milk materials are split using the enzyme lactase. The enzyme is added during the production process, and the result is that the lactose is converted to glucose and galactose, which can be tolerated by those who are lactose intolerant.
